Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik chaired over the State Cabinet meeting today. The Cabinet has taken 18 major decisions placed by different Departments. Chief Secretary Sri Asit Tripathy and other Sr officials briefed the media about the decisions. Some of the decisions are given below:
As per the decision of the Cabinet, an EGoM under the Chairmanship of Minister, Finance and Excise has been constituted to take the stock of the emerging situation, take all necessary decisions for prevention and containment of COVID-19 and approve all emergent procurement after due examination of the necessities, urgency and justification of such procurement. The decisions taken by the EGoM on 02.09.2020 and other decisions taken by Health and Family Welfare Department for containment and prevention of COVID-19 has been approved by Cabinet.
The repromulgation of the Second Ordinance in the name of Agricultural Produce and Livestock Marketing (Promotion and Facilitation) to give an immediate benefit to the farmers was approved.
Cabinet approved a proposal for providing Government guarantee of Rs. 2600 Crore for the loans to be availed by GRIDCO during Financial Year, 2020-21.
The Food and Procurement Policy for Kharif Marketing Season 2020-21 to regulate all aspects of paddy and rice procurement was approved. It has been targeted to procure around 71 LMT paddy from the registered farmers. More WSHGs shall be engaged in paddy procurement operations.
The proposal to alienate Government land and acquired/purchased land for ‘Heritage Security Corridor around Shri Jagannath Temple’ in favour of Shri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee on free of premium and other charges and to correct the ROR in the name of Lord Shri Jagannath, Bije Puri, Marfat Shri Jagannath Temple Managing Committee is approved.
Proposals for framing of Odisha Nursing Service (Methods of requirement and conditions of Service) amendment Rules-2020 has been approved. Besides, proposals for amendment of Cadre Rule and Service Conditions of Pharmacists and Radiographers have been approved.
