Bhubaneswar: The Adruta Children Home (A unit of RAWA Academy) celebrated his Birth day ceremony in the occasion of Rakshya Bandhan in his premises at Bhagabatipur, Near Derash Road, Kantabad of Bhubaneswar.Dr. Tapan Kumar Chand,Chairman cum Managing Director, NALCO, Bhubaneswar joined as a chief guest of the ceremonial meeting and tied of the Rakshi from the inmates of Adruta Children Home and blessing them and also inspirited them. In this occasion, the organization also felicitated the chief guest and offered him gifts and manapatra.
This children Home has been doing pioneering work in the field of rehabilitation of abandoned, destitute and parentless children, especially children of unwed mothers since 1998. Presently, there are 450 children under care and nurture in ten different centers across the state of Odisha, namely7 Bhubaneswar (Both Boys and Girls unit), Bolangiri, Sundargarh, Keonjhar, Baripada, Angul, Dhenkanal, Cuttack and Puri. The organization runs by community support through generous contribution of likeminded peoples, organizations and community at large.
In this occasion, the children of the Adruta Home cut the birthday cake and distributed it among the delegates with joy. Then the children of the Adruta Home performed cultural programme .Amongst others the dignitaries from the cross sections of the society, social worker, patrons of the organization and many representatives from media (both print and electronic) are participated in this inaugural meeting. Lastly the senior most of the member of the Adruta Home gave vote of thanks.
