NTPC Talcher Kaniha organized Vocational Training on Mushroom Cultivation

Kaniha: NTPC Talcher Kaniha under its CSR initiative organized vocational training programme on Mushroom Cultivation on 12th March’2018 at R& R centre for Self Help Group unemployed rural youth of nearby villages to promote income and self reliance. The training will be of two weeks period duration.

The training programme was inaugurated by Shri K. S. Sarma, AGM(HR) in presence of Shri P. K. Sahu, DGM(HR), Shri A. K. Das, Sr. Manager(HR) and Shri M. V. Rao, ES(HR).

Shri Sarma speaking on the occasion said that the training agency should focus on the methods of mushroom cultivation & at the same time provide marketing facilities to the participants for the sale of mushroom in the market. It is important because the mushroom are of perishable nature and it cannot stocked for long duration.

Whereas Shri P. K. Sahu,DGM(HR) spoke on how the trainees can get additional income through little efforts by adopting mushroom cultivation in additional to their regular life style & work by spending some time for cultivation. This will enable them for additional income.

Institution for Development and Implementation of Techniques (IDIOT), Dhenkanal has been imparted with training.60 numbers of trainees will be benefited through this training. 60 participants were divided in 6 groups with 10 persons each in group from 5 villages.

Each group will be given training to cultivate mushroom in five villages i.e Bhimkand ,Lohdabanda,Gadashila ,Karadei & Kateni. The agency will provide necessary facilities like preparation of bed, bamboos, compost & manure for cultivation.
