NTPC Tacher Kaniha supports different abled persons

Kaniha: NTPC Tacher Kaniha in association with Utkalmani Gobabandhu Blind Relief Trust, Kaniha distributed shawls, dhotis, sarees & towels among 800 different abled mainly blind & physically challenged persons today at Prajamandal Bhawan, Kaniha under its CSR initiative.

Every year special challenged persons from all over the Odisha come to gather for the program which is organized on every first Sunday of the New Year. The program gives a start to CSR activities of the power station earmarked for 2020-21.

NTPC has been supporting this initiative for more than 26 years since the inception of the blind society in the year 1974. The clothes were distributed by Chief Guest of the occasion ,Shri Paresh Chandra Nayak ,Sub Collector ,Talcher and Guest of Honour, Shri Sudip Nag, Chief General Manager, NTPC Kaniha.

While addressing gathering Shri Nag , conveyed New Year Greetings to the assembled gathering. He stated that NTPC Kaniha is always forward in extending its support for the development of the community through its various CSR initiatives but this CSR the initiative is very special and it is the first CSR activity to begin in the new year. He also emphasized that NTPC Kaniha would extend support for the welfare of the specially challenged in the future also..

Shri Ramesh Chandra Jena ,BDO ,Kaniha ,Shri K. S. Sarma, AGM(HR),Shri A K Das ,Sr.Mgr(HR) & Shri V A Rao,Officer(HR) , Shri Shri Sudhakar Pradhan, President ,Gopabandhu Blind Relief Trust & other office bearers were present on the occasion.
