NTPC Kaniha distributes embroidery Sewing machines to SHG

Kaniha : NTPC Talcher Kaniha organises various vocational training for women empowerment & self-employment for rural women under its CSR programme. Under this initiative, 40 Self Help Group women who had undergone months training on tailoring and stitching was provided embroidery sewing machines today.

Smt Vini Santosh, President ,Tanvi Sangam distributed the sewing machines and certificates to trainees on successful completion of four months training on tailoring and stitching provided by NTPC Kaniha. Later Smt Santosh interacted SHG women and appreciated the work they have done after undergoing training.

The distribution was done in presence of Shri K S Sarma ,AGM(HR) and Shri P K Sahu ,DGM(HR) & office bearers of Tanvi Sangam.

Speaking to the trainees, Shri Sarma said “this initiative taken by Talcher Kaniha power station is to strengthen skills and provide income generation facilities for self-empowerment”. He congratulated all the trainees for undergoing the training.

The training was given by NTPC Kaniha in association with Jan Sikshya Sanstan ,Angul.
