Bhubaneswar: As part of the ongoing Swachhata Pakhwada, NALCO, in association with NALCO Mahila Samiti have extended a noble gesture to the inmates of Mission Ashra. Led by Smt. Preeti Roy, President, NALCO Mahila Samiti, its members and the officials of NALCO Foundation, the CSR arm of the company, visited Mission Ashra, on 27th September 2018, a shelter for mentally challenged girls and women and donated an automatic washing machine and clothes to the inmates. It may be mentioned that Mission Ashra, under the NGO People’s Forum, provides shelter to around 250 mentally challenged women and girls. Smt. Gayatri Balasubramanyam, Advisor, Smt. Prativa Mishra, Secretary and other members and office-bearers of NALCO Mahila Samiti were present on the occasion.
