New Delhi: Union Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari reviewed the progress of Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Projects in the States of Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Karnataka at a high level meeting in New Delhi yesterday. Expressing satisfaction over the progress of various PMKSY projects in these States Shri Gadkari asked the officials to implement the pending projects as per the time line without any delay.
The Minister said that out of eight PMKSY Projects in Andhra Pradesh one has been completed and six will be completed in the current financial year. He said the remaining one project will be completed in the next financial year. About Odisha the Minister said out of the eight projects of the state two have been completed and three will be completed during the current financial year. He said the remaining three will be completed in the next financial year. About the five AIBP projects of the Karnataka the Minister informed that one project has been completed and the remaining four will be completed in the next financial year. On completion of all these AIBP projects irrigation potential of 228 Th.Ha. will be created in Andhra Pradesh, 125 Th. Ha. in Odisha and 230 Th. Ha. in Karnataka. Senior officials of the Union Water Resources Minister and the three states attended the meeting.
