Bhubaneswar: Despite Odisha govt’s appeal, Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan refuses to call off Odisha Bandh on Feb 21. National convenor Akshay Kumar says neither matriculation examination nor the emergency services will get affected due to the bandh.
We support the bandh called by Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan as the govt is mentally harassing farmers; Odisha govt is trying to threaten farmers citing problems during Matric exam, alleges State BJP Krushak Morcha general secretary Surath Biswal .
Odisha Govt urged Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan to desist from going on Odisha bandh on 21st February, a day before Matriculation Exam, which would inconvenience examinees, parents and teachers and disrupt movement of questions papers.
The government has already appealed Naba Nirman Krushak Sangathan to call off Odisha bandh on February 21. We have also made all arrangements so that the shutdown does not prevent students from appearing Matric exams which begins from Feb 22 said DGP RP Sharma.
