Sunbeda: M.P of Koraput Loksabha constituency Er. Saptagiri Sankar Ulaka has made a maiden visit to Central University of Odisha with a team of community leaders including former MLAs Nimai Sarkar, and Ramachandra Kadam, Manoj Acharya, Rupak Turuk, Bhagaban Muduli, Jagadish Khosla, Pramod Kumar Nag, and others dignitaries. Prof. I. Ramabrahmam, Vice-Chancellor of the CUO welcomed Hon’ble MP and highlighted the developmental activities undertaken by the University. Prof. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar, Prof. P. Durgaprasad, Visiting Professor, Professor B.B. Mishra, Academic Consultant and senior Officers of the University present on the occasion.
During his visit a plantation programme was carried out in the Univeristy campus. Hon’ble MP and Vice-Chancellor along with other dignitaries planted varieties of saplings. After the plantation programme, discussions about the CUO and Koraput development took place. Esteemed Vice-Chancellor appraised MP about CUO courcess, infrastructure and manpower.
He wished the CUO Good Luck and hoped that it will became an institution of excellence in a few years.
At the beginning of the programme he was felicitated by teaching and non-teaching employees of the University. Dr. Kapila Khemundu, HoD I/c. Dep. Of Sociology delivered the welcome address and Prof. Asit Kumar Das, Registrar extended a vote of thanks. The programme was coordinated by Dr. Phagunath Bhoi, Public Relations Officer and assisted by Mr. Manash Kumar Das, Assistant Registrar. Er. Padmalochan Swain, Asst. Engineer, Sh. Jitendra Kumar Panda and many non-teaching staff of the CUO assisted the Programme.
