The Ministry of Home Affairs has amended the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act to grant additional powers to the Lieutenant Governor. The MHA has notified the amended rules under Section 55 of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019, which include new sections that enhance the authority of the LG.
