Joda: As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, Tata Steel organized a one-day free Mega Health Camp today at UP School, Birikala village under Joda block of Keonjhar district.
362 patients from Birikala and peripheral villages including Govindpur, Parvatipur, Jharana, Daduan, Balita, Bhagalpur, Karansahi, lahanda and Mutuda availed health services at the day-long Mega Health Camp.
Mr Ramesh Nayak, Sarpanch, Birikala Panchayat inaugurated the day-long camp in the presence of doctors of Tata Steel Hospital, Joda and TSRDS officials.
7 specialist doctors from Tata Steel Hospital, Joda and Tata Steel Rural Development Society volunteered their services for the camp. In the camp, along with consultation by specialist doctors from Medicine, Pediatric, Gynecology and Skin disciplines, free medicines were provided to the patients apart from on-the-spot pathological investigations for proper diagnosis. In the camp, 5 patients have been diagnosed with cataract who will be operated soon at Tata Steel Hospital, Joda.
