Bhubaneswar: As the part of “All India Protest Day” demanding the dismissal of Sivaraj Chouhan Government (C.M- Madhya Pradesh)- the killer of farmers, demanding appropriate and profitable Support Price to farmers for all Agricultural Produces as per the recommendation of Swaminathan Commission , demanding withdrawal of anti-people and anti-farmers ban order on cattle selling by Central Government, “Bhumi Adhikar Andolan, Odisha” has been organised mass protest at Master Canteen Square, Bhubaneswar on today. The various peasants and mass organisations like Odisha Krushak Sabha, All India Krantikari Kisan Sabha, Odisha Chasi Mulia Sangh,CITU, All India Kishan Sabha, AIKMS, All India People’s Forum, Indian Social Action Forum(INSAF), Odisha Adivasi Adhikar Manch, Basti Surakshya Manch, Campaign for Survival & Dignity, Janabadi Lekhak Sangh, National Hawkers Federation, Lokshakti Abhijan, Samajwadi Kisan Sangh and others human right organisations were took part in the protest.
The main demands was
1. Waive off all agricultural loans of Farmers/ Share Croppers.
2. Give appropriate and profitable Minimum Support Price for all agricultural produces as per the recommendations by Swaminathan Commission
3. Immediately dismiss the Sivaraj Chouhan government of M.P, the killer of farmers.
4.Withdraw the ban order on the selling of cattle by the central government.
Slogan of protesters was echoed at the protest place such as Hands off – Killer Modi – Sivaraj Chouhan Government Hands off, unite all left-democratic forces- unite, build up democratic mass movement- build up etc.
The leaders of various peasants and mass organisations like Suresh Panigrahi, Prafulla Samantara, Narendra Mohanty, Sivaram, Srikant Mohanty, Radhakant Sethi, Bishnu Mohanty, Pramila Behera, Jayant Das, Mahendra Parida, Biswapriya Kanungo, Amiya Pandav, Srimant Mohanty, Jagannath Mishra, Abhiram Behera, Rajnarayan Dalua, Pramodini Pradhan, Lenin Kumar, Sujata Sahani,Sudarshan Pradhan, Bijay Behera, Sandeep Pattnayak, Pradeep Sahu, Dusmant Das were took the leadership of that mass protest.
