Bhubaneswar: Norwester (Kalabaisakhi ) rains is likely to lash the State’s coastal areas along with thunder in the next 24 hours. This was informed by the regional office of Indian Meteorological Department(IMD) here on Sunday.
Wind speed is likely to be 50-60 km/hr during the Norwester rains in the coastal regions, the weather office forecasted. On the other hand temperature has been hovering above 40 degrees in the western parts of the State throwing normal life out of gear. Balangir, Titilagarh and some other stations have already recorded maximum temperatures of 43 degree Celsius, making life miserable for the residents.
