International Food Fest to spoil foodies with choices galore

Bhubaneswar: If celebration calls for a nice occasion to toast with tasty and classy food, then an international event like Odisha Men’s Hockey World Cup-2018 would be the right occasion to have a menu to spoil your taste buds and senses with plethora of choices.
With 16 playing nations have already teamed up for the World Cup Hockey trophy, the International Food Festival at IDCO Exhibition Ground at Unit III would be a memorable occasion to be relished and remembered in the culinary lexicon of the Temple City by its proud citizens. This would be part of the Bhubaneswar City Festival, which will also be called .FEST, to be organised during the international event from December 1 to 16, with multiple other themes.
Yes! The city foodies would be having enough reasons to be anxious as more than two dozens of partners will be allotted to leading hotels, restaurants and hotel and catering institutes to spread their creative culinary ideas and satiate the food connoisseurs of the city as they would have all including continental, regional, national and street foods all across the globe under a single roof.
According to sources, each of the partner have been volunteered to represent four food items from opted country’s menu, four from opted states across India and two street foods from Odisha. However, to give a unique character to the offerings at the International Food Festival, each stall would have a State theme, a country theme and Odia theme as per their choice to offer a plenty of choices for the visitors to the venue. Some stalls would also have a choice of more than one state/country.
Interestingly, all well-known varieties from the streets of Odisha, i.e. Thunka Puri, Chena tarhari, Egg Chop, Chungudi Chop, Keema Chop, Pakodi, Baigani, Piazi, Mugapiazi, Gulgula, Mutton Chop, Chicken Pokada, Mudhi Mansa, Jhal Mudhi, Dahi Vada, Kanji Vada, Alu Dum, Chudakadamba, Malpua, Dalma, Chitta Pakodi, Chat, Kachodi Chat will be available at the festival competing with their regional and international servings.
The food festival, however, would have lot many activities in street fest in nearby areas so that they would be enjoying their food amidst a hockey-filled arena.
Besides the food court the venue will also have a beautiful arch with several selfie-points with international monuments of importance i.e. Eiffel Tower, Taj Mahal or the beautiful arch of 10th Century Mukteswar from the Temple City, the host of the World Cup Hockey.
The stalls showcasing the food items of the world would be allotted to: Swosti Group of Hotels, Mayfair Group of Hotels, Hotel New Marrion, Institute of Hotel Management, The Ranch, Bhookaa, Pipul Hotel and Resorts Padmaja Premium from Mumbai, Crown Hotel, Hotel Trident, Michael’s Kitchen, Aangan, Hotel Suryansh, Moody Blues, Hotel Seetal, Hotel Empires, VITS Hotel, OTDC from Odisha Tourism, Dalma, The Shade, Pramod Hotels and Resorts, Sandy’s Tower, ITER, Bocca Café and Coca-Cola.
