Bhubaneswar: Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) Drive in Ganjam district & Bhubaneswar Muncipal corporation area from October 17 to January 2018• Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) drive will be conducted in Ganjam district and Bhubaneswar Muncipal Corporatio area from October 2017 to January 2018 in four rounds .The IMI is included under PRAGATI & monitored by the Hon’ble Prime Minister office. The aim of IMI is to achieve Full Immunization coverage ie. more than 90% in all districts. The drive will start from 7th October for a week long in campaign mood. The time line for each activity to be carried out for the drive has been developed and shared with the district.• In the preparatory phase, all health staff including Medical Officer, LHV, NHM staff, HW, ASHA, AWW will be trained for successful implementation of the drive. • During the drive, focus will be on low coverage areas, urban slums, hard to reach areas like brick kilns, construction sites, vacant sub-centers areas. ASHA, AWW & link volunteer will visit house to house for head count survey and will identify drop out & left out children due for vaccination. These children will be vaccinated during the drive. During the drive department like W&CD, Education, PRI & I & PR department etc will be involved for successful implementation of the drive. • The district level workshop for Medical officers & health staff at Ganjam & Bhubaneswar Urban has been completed. The State task Force Meeting for IMI held under the chairmanship of the Dr. Pramod Kumar Meherda, Commissioner –cum-Secretary to Govt Health & Fw today in the conference hall National Health Mission. In the said meeting among othets Shalini Pandit, Mission Director, NHM, Dr. Binod Kumar Mishra, Director, Family welfare, Saroj Samal AMD NHM and other senior health officials & Official from WHO, UNICEF, UNDP & Rotary International attended the meeting. • The progress of activities and achievement will be reviewed every month under the chairmanship of the Commissioner-cum- Secretary to Govt.H&Fw.
