New Delhi: In line with our efforts to support the repatriation efforts, IndiGo operated its three special charter flights from Saudi Arabia and Qatar, to bring back Indian citizens. The IndiGo flight 6E 9433 from Jeddah to Delhi transferred a total of 171 passengers on June 14, 2020, while flight 6E 9638 from Doha to Kochi transferred 171 passengers including 5 children, and flight 6E 9431 from Doha to Delhi transferred total of 159 passengers on June 15, 2020. High Commission of India commissioned the charter flights in association with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Qatar. IndiGo operated these flights while adhering to all the precautionary measures, ensuring a safe and hassle-free flying experience for the passengers.
Mr. Ronojoy Dutta, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo said, “We are pleased to leverage our network to operate repatriation flights, as we continue to bring Indian citizens back home. In fact, we operated the Jeddah-Delhi flight after a long halt of 87 days. We are thankful to the Indian government for allowing us to operate charter flights to bring back 501 Indians back to the country from Jeddah and Doha. We look forward to continue to contribute and support the nation in this difficult situation”.
IndiGo supported in repatriation of 501 Indian citizens, with 171 from Saudi Arabia and 330 from Qatar.
