New Delhi: Mr. Ronojoy Dutta has been redesignated as a Whole Time Director and Chief Executive Officer of InterGlobe Aviation Limited with immediate effect. The decision was taken unanimously by the Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held today. The term of Mr. Dutta’s appointment in his new role will be valid up to Janury 23, 2024.
During his year long stint with the company, IndiGo has witnessed aggressive operational and business expansion. Mr. Dutta’s extensive experience in the aviation industry channeled IndiGo’s efforts into a mission to boost economic growth and social cohesion in India, by providing air connectivity and affordable air fares across our country and to international destinations, thereby promoting trade, tourism and mobility. The company today is striving to be the best air transportation system in the world.
Mr. Ronojoy Dutta is B.S. Mechanical Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and MBA from Harvard Business School. He possesses expertise and rich experience in the aviation industry worldwide and has served as an advisor to the restructuring of Air Canada, US Airways and Hawaiian Air, was the President of Air Sahara and the President of United Airlines. Mr. Dutta also served on the Board of United Airlines, US Airways and Marsico Trust Funds. He has been associated with IndiGo since January 24, 2019 as the Chief Executive Officer.
