Alliance Air connects Bhubaneswar Varanasi with daily direct flights, Daily Flight operations begin from 31st January 2020

Bhubaneswar: Alliance Air, a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India is all set to commence daily direct flight operations from Bhubaneshwar to Varanasi & back from 31st January 2020. This is an RCS route under the UDAN scheme of Government of India. The airline has deployed its 70 seater ATR 72 600 aircraft on this sector.
Flight 9I 747 departs from Bhubaneshwar at 1215hrs and arrives in Varanasi at 1405hrs. Flight 9I 748 departs from Varanasi at 1430hrs and arrives in Bhubaneshwar at 1620hrs.

Varanasi being a major religious hub in India, gets a lot of religious tourism all year long. Domestic tourists most commonly visit for religious purposes while foreign tourist visit for ghats along River Ganges and Sarnath.
