Bhubaneswar: The Regional Office of the Indian Metrological Department here on Tuesday issued yellow warning to as many as 13 districts of heavy rains in next 24 hours.
Heavy to very rainfall is very likely in isolated places of Bargarh, Balangir, Boudh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Keonjhar, Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Sambalpur and Sundargarh districts., said the IMD.
Squally weather with gusty wind reaching 40-50 kmph is also likely along the Odisha coast and off it, according to the weather office.
Fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea along and off the coast of Odisha during the next 24 hours.
In the last 24 hours, Chandbali has recorded the maximum rainfall of 122.3 mm, Bhubaneswar recorded
70.8 mm rainfall followed by Sonepur with 70 mm, Angul 60 mm and Sambalpur 58.16 mm rainfall. Balangir recorded 91.6 mm, Cuttack witnessed 55.4 mm and Hirakud recorded 50.2 mm of rainfall.
