Bhubaneswar: Indian Air Force chopper showers flower petals on KIMS COVID hospital in Bhubaneswar to express gratitude towards medical professionals fighting . This is as part of “India Salutes Corona Warriors” campaign organised to honour efforts of frontline workers in the fight against COVID19 across the country.
The KIMS Authority has expressed pleasure for the show of solidarity by the IAF.
“We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India for motivating and lifting the spirits of the Covid Warriors at KIMS. Because of this, the willpower of all the Doctors, Nurses, and Paramedical Staff along with all others Covid Warriors will be strengthened by and large and they would continue their fight against the novel coronavirus with renewed zeal”, stated Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS & KIMS. He also thanked Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik for his support to open a special Covid Hospital at KIMS. As a result, it has been possible for us to witness such a remarkable and memorable moment today, added Dr. Samanta.
“We have come forward to such an extent in this war against Covid because of Dr. Samanta’s consistent endeavor to augment our moral strength”, said all the doctors present there. Among the dignitaries, Dr. Subrat Acharya, Pro-Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University; Dr. Bishnu Prasad Panigrahi, CEO, KIMS; Maj. Gen. Dr. P.K. Patnaik, Principal, KIMS and Dr. Ambika Prasad Mohanty, MS were present to witness the aerial Salute along with many staff members of KIMS, KIIT & KISS.
