Hyderabad: India have beaten England by seven wickets in first T20I here in Bengaluru to take a one nil lead in the 3 match series. Earlier in the day England captain Ed Hossel won the toss and opted to bat first. Debutant Nakul struck of the very first ball as he bowled Matt Dean to give India a great start. England had a good partnership going with Luke Sugg and Peter Blueit. But tight bowling from the Indian bowlers kept the run rate in check. Justin played a 10 ball 22 cameo to propel the score to 150 at the end of the 20 overs losing 6 wickets.
Chasing a par total on a good batting track India got off to a fantastic start with a century partnership from Sunil Ramesh and Nakul. Sunil bought up his 50 0ff 22 balls and then scored a match winning hundred as remained unbeaten and saw the chase through. The second of the 3 match series will be played at the same ground tomorrow from 11.00 am.
