India, Nepal finalised an agreement for Long-Term Power Trade to increase the quantum of export of power from Nepal to India to 10 thousand Megawatt within 10 years

New Delhi: India and Nepal have finalised an agreement for Long-Term Power Trade to increase the quantum of export of power from Nepal to India to 10 thousand Megawatt within 10 years. Import of power from Nepal would be based on commercial transactions by the entities concerned. It would fulfill mutual benefits to both countries from trade in #hydropower which is a clean, green, and sustainable source of energy says Union Power, and New & Renewable Energy Minister.
