Bhubaneswar: Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) here on Saturday forecast heavy rainfall across the State in the next 24 hours. As per the latest IMD forecast, coastal and interior parts of the State are likely to receive maximum rainfall in the next 24 hours.
Normal life has been thrown out of gear after a low-pressure trough stretching across north-east Bay of Bengal triggered heavy rains across the State for the second consecutive day.
Several low-lying areas in the twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar have been waterlogged following heavy rainfall on Friday, causing great inconvenience to the commuters and residents.
