IIT Bhubaneswar celebrated its 10th Institute Day, phase-II construction worth over Rs 1,000 crore to be ready by March 2019

Bhubaneswar: The IIT Bhubaneswar celebrated its 10th Institute Day on Saturday at its campus at Argul. Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resources Development (MHRD) R Subrahmanyam was chief guest and Prof Sudhakar Panda, Director, Institute of Physics, and Acting Director, NISER, Bhubaneswar was guest of honour.

IIT Bhubaneswar Director Prof RV Raja Kumar referred to the fast-paced growth of the institute in recent years and its dream to march ahead along with senior IITs. He also spoke about the initiative of the institute to hire professors of foreign origins, who are adding to the international outlook of the institute.

Prof Raja Kumar thanked the MHRD for its support for the phase-II construction worth over Rs 1,000 crore. He assured that the phase-II infrastructure would be ready by March 2019 as targeted. The function concluded with a vote of thanks by Dean (Faculty) Prof Sujit Roy.
