Bhubaneswar: Heat Wave intensifies in Odisha with mercury above 40 degrees Celsius in 9 places in State. Titlagarh hottest at 43 degree Celsius, Bolangir 42.8 degC, Bhawanipatna 41.5 degC, Hirakud, 40.7 degrees in Angul, Jharsuguda, Sambalpur and Talcher and 40 degrees Celsius in Malkangiri. Marginal drop in temperature was recorded in a few coastal areas following rain and thundershower.
