Mumbai: STAR Plus’ recently launched show Mariam Khan – Reporting Live has an extremely talented ensemble cast on board. Veteran actor Lubna Salim who has been part of various theatre plays and Bollywood films plays the role of Rifat Ashraf on the show.
While Lubna has been doing some great work across mediums in the industry, we hear that she is closely related to veteran lyricist and film director, Gulzar saab.
Talking about her relation with him, Lubna said “I call him baba. He is father figure and my mentor in the industry. I can share anything regarding my personal or professional life with him and he always bails me out with the best suggestions and solutions. He has written a poem especially for me and he always says “Lubnam, this is for you”
Lubna says that her character of Rifat in the show Mariam Khan – Reporting Live is something that has appealed to her in a really long time and is an extremely challenging character.
