Dhamra: In a signal display of concern for the conservation and improvement of the Environment, Adani Dhamra Port has for the last decade keptup its tree plantation drive in the port rail periphery, schools and panchayats. Under the stewardship of Adani Foundation, the CSR arm of the much billion Adani Group has been steadily intensifying its efforts to up the green quotient of the greater Dhamra area. About 10lakh indigenous saplings have already been planted in the project periphery, as the port takes proactive steps in partnership with the local community, to make the port project Carbon Neutral. A recent case in point is the successful transplanting of a fifteen feet Banyan tree within the port. Such endeavor results in survival of the large trees which are impacted by the port layout and give confidence to the larger public of Adani Ports sincerity in reducing their carbon footprints in the region.
