Bhubaneswar: Govt of India declares awards for Ganjam & Khurda districts for achieving 90% full immunization coverage during Intensified Mission Indradhanush held in 2017-18.
Health and Family Welfare Secretary Pramod Kumar Meherda is happy with the Union Government informing to honour officials of two districts, Ganjam and Khordha, for achieving the goal of immunisation in making India polio-free.
Dr Meherda, who pursued the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI), a flagship programme of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in Odisha during the period, has received the letter of appreciation of the Government of India here on October 21.
Mission Director, NHM Odisha, Shalini Pandit made sincere pursuit to make IMI a grand success in the State.
Mission Director, National Health Mission of Government of India Manoj Jhalani has informed the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy in this regard.
Jhalani said that Ganjam and Khordha (Bhubaneswar) have achieved more than 90 per cent full immunization coverage through intensive efforts during IMI.
