Bhubaneswar: Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) organised a special programme for Start Ups Odisha & IT leaders at Kala Bhoomi. Two Start Ups Big Basket and Portea’s founder, Sri Ganesh Krishnan and Smt. Meena Ganesh joined as chief guest on this programme. They both shared their journey and inspired the entrepreneur and leaders here. The hospitality, art, culture, professional cooperation and the passion to put the state on top is really inspiring said, Smt. Meena. Odisha is the best place for Start Ups and we should translate the problem into an opportunity said Sri Ganesh.
Profit is a social responsibility for an entrepreneur said Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA), Sri Subroto Bagchi and he also inspired the Start Ups that fail but fail brilliantly. A month back, Sri Bagchi visited Bengaluru to invite various industry partners to Odisha. He discussed with various industry partners to robust the skill eco system in the state. As a result Start Ups industry Big Basket & Portea’s founder have visited Odisha. Big Basket is one of the renowned online grocery store of India. It is providing services in 25 cities of India. Likely Portea is providing home health care services in 21 cities of India.
On this occasion MSME, Secretary, Sri Hemant Sharma discussed the initiatives taken by State Government for Start Ups Odisha. Without Skill development, Skill training and skilled Man power entrepreneurship will not be succeed said Secretary, Skill Development & Technical Education, Sri Sanjay Kumar Singh. He also said Mumbai based film Institute Shemaroo will start a Skill Centre at Bhubaneswar. Likely Tech Mahindra will set up a Centre of excellence at CET College for critical machine learning programme.
Among others Secretary, Information Technology, Sri Manoj Mishra, Joint Secretary, SD&TE, Sri Ajay Nayak and Director, Industry, Sri Pranab Jyoti Nath and senior officials were there.
