Kaliapani: Mahagiri Mines ( Chromite ) of IMFA celebrates Annual Mines Safety Week 2018-19 from 19th November to 24th November’2018. During Safety Week Celebration Nagendra Kumar Sriram, Dy. Director Mines Safety, Bhubaneswar region visited Mahagiri Mines on 20th Nov’18 and inspected the mines. He appreciated the safety measures implemented by IMFA Mines in connection to safety of workers during mining operation .
Like every year this year also the Safety Week celebrated by Mahagiri Mines Chromite (IMFA). It started with putting safety badges to the employees on 19th Nov’18 and safety flag hoisting by the Mines Manager Lalatendu Mohapatra followed by safety speech to the workers as well as officers. Several activities like cometition of safety related Poster making, Speech, Slogan and Trade test carried out during the week. The inspection team led by Anang Mohapatra from FACOR alongwith Rajesh Ekka from TATA Steel & Ranjeet Naik from NALCO inspected the Mahagiri Mines at the mines on 20th Nov’18.
A fire Mock drill was organised flawlessly by the securiy team led by Hruday Ranjan Biswal in presence of the employees and inspection team. Also a First Aid team led by Malay Jena demonstarated in front of inspection team.
A safety cultural program was organised in the presence of inspection team, Lalatendu Mohapatra ( Mines Manager, MMC), Sudhanshu Patni (VP Mines) and all the employees. On this occasion prizes were distributed to the winners those who participated in different competetions like Speech, Poster, Slogan & Trade Test. Sudhanshu patni highlighted the safety measures implemented inside the underground mines with top priority.
