Report by Badal Tah, Rayagada: 45th Sri Sri Durgapuja was started at Jaykaypur on 06.10.2019 and inaugurated by Sri P K Suri, Executive Vice President (Works) & Chairman, Puja Committee,the Sanskrutik Utsav-2019. Mr Sundeep Pandey, GM (HR & IR) & Secretary Puja Committee also present along with them. The Dasahara festival continued for 6 days up to 11.10.2019.
The Sanskrutik Mohatsav will continue with a amalgam of classical, folk dance as well as modern dance in respective of three language i.e. Odia, Hindi & Telugu.
On 08.10.2019, the day of Vijaya Dasami Sri Saptagiri Ulaka was the Chief Guest, Dr Saravana Vivek M, SP, Rayagada and Sub Collector graced as Guest of Honour respectively. On the day of Vijaya Dasami local artists of Jaya Jagannath Natyakala Parishad, Jaykaypur performed Odia opera “SAMAYA KAHIB BHUL KAHARA”. Mr L N Dalpatiray directed the play.
More than 100 stalls were setup of different varities. 5 stalls were allotted for creating awareness on different social issues like promotion of swachha bharat abhiyan, promotion of entrepreneurship among the youth, display of terracotta of local artists promoted by RIC. SPARSH NGO also displayed their community development activities.
Hundred of Tribal villages around the Mills including residents of Rayagada and adjacent district like Kalahandi, Gajapati, Koraput & Parbatipur enjoyed the magnificent festivities. According to Sri Sundeep Pandey, Secretary Puja Committee “These programmes brings cultural integration and opens up avenues of enjoyment & mutual learning.”
