Bhubaneswar: Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan will inaugurate the Secondary Data Centre of National Data Repository and Software Technology Parks of India- ELITE at Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar on 4th August 2018. Union minister for Electronics & IT and Law & Justice Shri Ravi Sankar Prasad is also slated to grace the inauguration ceremony, informed in a press meet held here today.
The Press meet was jointly addressed by Software Technology Parks of India, Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt of India and Directorate General of Hydrocarbons, MoPNG, Govt of India. Shri Manas Ranjan Panda, Jurisdictional Director (Odisha, Bihar and Jharkhand), STPI, Shri Shiladitya Bhattacharjee, General Manager (HR), DGH and Shri H K Patra, Consultant (NDR).
Notably the union government earlier on 28th June 2017 had started functioning of Integrated Centralized Data Repository to promote and preserve the data regarding exploration and production of petroleum products in India. Secondary Data Centre (SDC) which is going to be operational at STPI Gothapatna, Bhubaneswar will be operated under Primary Data Centres’ Disaster Recovery Centre at Noida, New Delhi.
The centre at Bhubaneswar will help students of geology, researchers, academicians as well as various companies. They will be able to conduct data analytics and research based on data available on exploration and production of petroleum products in India.
Shri Prasanna Patasani MP, Bhubaneswar, Shri Chandra Sarathi Behera Minister for IT & Electronics, Govt of Odisha, Shri Ananta Das, Minister for Higher Education, Govt of Odisha, Shri A P Sahani, Secretary, Ministry of IT & Electronics, Govt of India will be also present at this occasion.
