Dhamra: A mega health camp was organised by Adani Foundation in association with District Health Mission at court field of Kaithakhola Panchayat of Bhadrak district. Bhadrak MP Sri Arjun Charan Sethi, Chandabali MLA Byomokesh Ray, Bhadrak collector & district magistrate Sri Gyana Das, Dhamra Port CEO Sri Subrat Tripathy enlightened the lamp of the mega health camp. By giving priority to primary health, many expertise doctors and specialists joined this camp jointly organized by Adani Dhamra Port and District Health Department and detected health diseases of the villagers and distributed free medicines to them accordingly. Basically patients availed treatments for various diseases related to medicines, nuero, gynaecology, paediatric, and eye etc.
To provide better health facility to these remote villages Adani Foundation and District Health Mission arranges this type of health camps periodically. Few days prior to the camp villagers were informed about the camp through leaflets, posters and audio announcement. More than 1000 patients of about 8 to 10 nearby villages benefited from this camp. Local people, intellectuals and elected leaders praised Adani Foundation for arranging such camp and novel initiative taken by the Adani group. In this occasion CEO Sri Tripathy said that “We are consistently trying to provide better living standard and reliable health care services of the villagers of these remote areas. During the time of inauguration ceremony Bhadrak district sub-collector Sri Narottam Behera, Port vice-president Mr. Jagat Parija, Dhamra Port land acquisition officer Sri Suryakant Padhi, CSR head Subhash Ray, Deputy Manager Corporate Communication Subhashish Mishra, Kaithakhola Sarpanch Sri Ashok Sethi, Ranjan Sahu, Mujibar Alli, Parikhit Dash, Bana Bihari Maitee, Amiya Mohapatra, Suresh Mahunta, Ashok Jena, Narendra Maitee, Pradeep Behera were present to witness the programme.
Joining this mega camp, Dr.Minaketan Mohanty, Dr Nilakantaha Dey, Dr, Pradeep Kumar Rath, Dr. Arya Narayan Mishra, Dr. Gayadhar Sahu, Dr. Amarendra jena, Dr. Santosh Ku Singh, Dr. Basant Kumar Sahu, Pharmacist, Primary Health Centre, Basudevpur, Pravat Kumar Dhupal, pharmacist, Community Health Centre, Basudevpur, Manoj Kumar Biswal of Barapur Primary Health Centre etc. provided free healthcare facilities and treated the patients. This mega health camp was well organised by local villagers and officials of Adani Foundation.
For the necessity of health care Adani Foundation runs to mobile health unit vehicles equipped with doctors and paramedics, medicines which catered more than 50 villages in around Dhamra Port area from door to door.
