Bhubaneswar: To prevent the spread of COVID-19 (novel coronavirus), Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has started disinfecting all its buses with INFEKTOCIDE (surface & environment disinfectant), a high level disinfectant used in critical areas. It is eco-friendly, non-corrosive, non-irritant and bio-degradable. We are using fogging, spraying and mopping methods for the same.
MoBus are being cleaned daily in the spots prone to spread a virus like seats, support poles, door handles, arm rest and bar handles with this alcohol-based disinfectants. This is effective in fumigating bacteria including MRSA, TBC, yeasts and enveloped viruses.
Cleaning and disinfection are being done on daily basis as per standard procedure in the interest of passengers and staff deployed in the buses. After the last trip all the buses go to respective depots. 10 PM onwards mandatory cleaning of buses start which continues till 5 AM in the morning.
