Sambalpur: Sri R.R.Mishra, CMD, MCL inspected all the mines of IB Coalfields today and discussed in detail the production and despatch of dry fuel. Beginning his inpection from Basundhara Area, he inspected the mines of Kulda, Garjanbahal and the new railway siding at Sardega. He was happy to note that Basundhara would not only surpass their targeted production of 17.25 Million Tonnes but would achieve a high of 19.50 Million Tonnes. Boosted by his visit, e was further assured during his visit to the Sardega Railway Siding that from the coming months a total of 6 rakes would be loaded and despatched instead of the current 5 rakes.
On his visit to Lakhanpur, Sri Mishra inspected the 21 Million Tonne Lakhanpur Open Cast Mines and the 6 million Belpahar Open Cast Mines and expressed satisfaction that Lakhanpur Area would exceed the target by 1 million tonne by the end of the fiscal year.
He also took time to inaugurate the Augmented Drinking Water supply facility of Samleswari Colony and inspected the Samleswari Mines of IB Valley Area.
Rounding off his morale boosting trip, he held an informal meeting with Sri Naba Dash, Hon’ble MLA Jharsuguda at the Directors Bungalow at IB Valley where the importance of coal in the energy security of the nation was discussed. The talks focused on the need for the growth of the company and that of Jharsuguda District and the negative fallout of stoppages and bandhs. Sri Dash assured the CMD for his all round support to MCL in meeting the energy requirements of the country.
The visit of CMD was a morale boosting shot in the arm especially after the drop in production due to the bandh and injected fresh vigour and zeal to not only meet the targets but surpass it
