New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) Ranjan Gogoi recommends by writing a letter of appointment for 2nd senior most judge Justice SA Bobde as next CJI of India. As per tradition, the sitting CJI has to write and recommend his immediate successor. CJI Gogoi is retiring in Nov 2019 .
