New Delhi: Union Minister for AYUSH Shripad Yesso Naik in a written reply in Loksabha on Friday declared to set up a Central Research Institute of Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN) at Bhubaneswar, with a 100 bedded hospital.
He told that the Central Council for Research in Yoga and Naturopathy (CCRYN) has obtained 20 acres of cost free land from the State Government for the purpose. Funds to the tune of Rs 157.88 lakh has been released to the CPWD for construction of boundary wall and walking track etc. Demarcation of the allotted land has been completed in July last year. The project is presently held up due to resistance of the residents of the locality
Meanwhile, State BJP president Basanta Panda and BJP floor leader in Assembly Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo thanked Minister Naik for announcing to set up the project.
