Bengaluru: Cargill today announced Sumit Gupta as the India leader for Cargill Business Services (CBS). In this role, he will provide strategic leadership for CBS in India, drive key initiatives and focus on delivering business value. He will also be part of the global CBS leadership team. Sumit starts on December 2, 2019 and will be based in Bengaluru, India.

Sumit brings a long track record of building global teams and tapping into unique talent pools in global companies. With over 24 years of varied experience, Sumit has been instrumental in setting up global capability centers and delivering business value. He has led multiple functional areas including technology, marketing and sales, human resources and program management. Prior to joining Cargill, he was working with Refinitiv (formerly a division of Thomson Reuters), managing global IT operations from Bengaluru. He was previously associated with Fidelity Investments, Ness Technologies, IBM and Apollo International.
Sumit has a Master’s in International Trade from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, ICWA from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi.
