1108 numbers of children form Child Care Institutions participated in state level children’s festival HAUSLA 2019

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Festival for Children of Child Care
Institutions (CCIs)- “Hausla 2019” of the Department of Women and Child Development & Mission Shakti (DWCD & MS) has been organized in Bhubanswar during 1st and 2nd December at Unit – VI Boy’s High School play ground.

The valedictory was witnessed by the Principal Secretary, Smt. Anu Garga today. The inter-Child Care Institution festival is witnessed participation of 1108 Children drawn from CCIs from 30 districts in the various events like painting competition, athletics meet, football, chess competition and speech writing as part of the Festival.
Speaking at the 2 day Event, from 26 to 29th November 2018, Principal Secretary DWCD & MS said that during the previous years in the same event our children became national champion and Hon’ble Chief Minister Naveen Pattanaik declared cash awards to the national winners. We will try our best to repeat again. It is platform for the children from CCIs across the state to showcase their talent, to make them realize the hidden talent they possess and to help take it forward in their
life. She said that this event would instill confidence in them to achieve greater heights in life. She also resolved to make the event like Hausla even stronger. She also said that the event shall inspire children of Child Care Institutions so that they
can reach the National Stage for expressing their capabilities.
The event was also witnessed by Smt. Sandhyabati Pradhan, Chairperson, Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and Smt. Sulata Deo, Advisor of DWCD & MS. The event was coordinated by Sri Pritikant Panda, Programme Manager(Child Protection) and Smt. Rega Geetarani Pattanaik, Joint Secretry cum Additional Director of Odisha State Child Protection Society.
Children will be participating in various events like Debate, painting competition, athletics meet, football, chess competition and model making. In 27 categories 86 no’s of children were awarded in individual and group categories, in which child from tribal populated districts also secures good numbers. The winners will fly to New Delhi to participate in the National event scheduled to be held for 19th to 21st
Dec.
