Bhubaneswar: Centurion University organized blood donation camp at AIIMS Blood Bank, Bhubaneswar, where more than 70 donors voluntarily donated blood including faculty, students and staff.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Sachidananda Mohanty (Medical Superintendent-AIIMS, BBSR) in presence of Dr. Somnath Mukherjee (HoD-Dept. of Transfusion Medicine & Blood Bank), Dr. Babita (Dept. of Transfusion Medicine).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sachidananda Mohanty highlighted the importance of Blood Donation which can help to save thousands of lives. He inspired the students to come forward and donate blood to safeguard life of others.
Asst. Prof. Sangram Keshari Swain, of Centurion University said that in order to attain professional and personal success in life, students should fulfill diligently their duty towards the society for uplifting the life of thousands. Eye and Blood donations are the most glaring ways to fulfill social obligations.
