BJP Janajati Morcha national convention to be held at Puri on February 2, 3

Bhubaneswar: The BJP Janajati Morcha would hold a two-day national convention at Puri on February 2 and 3, informed Sate Janajati Morcha president and MLA Rabi Nayak here on Tuesday.

About 5,000 representative of tribal communities along with tribal leaders, MLAs and MPs from across the country would join the convention on February 2 and discuss rights of tribal people and how Central welfare programmes are not being implemented in Odisha properly.

Besides, a massive rally would be organised on February 3, the second day of the convention. BJP National president Amit Shah and over one lakh tribal people will join the rally to fight for tribals’ rights and protest the ‘anti-tribal’ policy of the State Government, said Nayak.

A preparatory meeting was held on Tuesday where BJP Janajati Morcha national president Ram Bichar Netam, State vice-president Sukesh Oram and general secretaries Manas Mohanty and Anant Nayak were present, among others.
