Bhubaneswar: The BJP on Monday asked the State Government should publish names of 30,000 people appointed in 20 mega industries in the websites to prove the truth,” demanded BJP State spokesperson Sajjan Sharma.
He said Odisha wants to know whether ASSOCHAM managers were aware that the State Government had first issued a notice entailing occurrence of mining scam of Rs 58,000 crore and then slashed it to Rs 17,000 crore ‘making a conspiracy’.
Sharma said the BJD should make it clear whether persons in charge of ASSOCHAM management have taken benefits out of Rs 52,500 core taken as loans from banks on the basis of Idco NOCs as revealed in the CAG Report 2014.
Alleging that industrialists have taken loans pledging unused lands, Sharma said the BJD should make it clear whether its leaders and Ministers are hand in glove with those fraud industrialists or not.
“Out of 92 MoUs signed for establishment of heavy industries, only four have started operations and 47 have not started any work. Similarly, 70 of 113 sponge iron plants are closed and two out of 10 pellet plants are operating. The BJD should make it clear whether these are failures of Naveen Patnaik Governmet or not,” Sharma demanded.
