New Delhi: BJD MP Dr. Sasmit Patra today demanded for the RAISING OF KALINGA REGIMENT FROM ODISHA. Recounted the valour and bravery of Odisha with references to Kalinga War and Paika Rebellion and immense contribution of Odisha to the defence of the nation. This was demanded by Late Shri. Biju Patnaik had raised such a demand. Says would be important in protecting defence establishments in Odisha and eastern coast of India
