Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Friday made a reshuffle in the party with immediate effect appointing party leaders as observers of all 30 districts ahead of civic body polls.
Sanjay Dasburma was appointed as the observer of Nabarangpur and Rayagada districts. Chandra Sarathi Behera was given charge of Koraput and Malkangiri districts and Nalini Kanta Pradhan was made the observer of Sambalpur and Deogarh districts.
Minister Naba Kishore Das was assigned for Kalahandi district and former minister Maheswar Mohanty was appointed as the observer of Ganjam.
Ministers Sushanta Singh and Dibya Shankar Mishra, Pranab Prakash Das, Ministers Pratap Jena and Ranendra Pratap Swain, Pramila Mallick, Prasanna Acharya, Usha Devi and Amar Prasad Satpathy will be in charge of the districts of Balangir, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Baleswar, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Khordha, Cuttack and Nayagarh, respectively.
The other observers are: Ministers Prafulla Kumar Mallick (Bargarh), Bikram Keshari Aarukh (Kandhamal), Padmanav Behera (Jharsuguda), Ashok Chandra Panda (Jajpur) and Niranjan Pujari (Angul), Purna Chandra Swain (Gajapati), Bijay Nayak (Dhenkanal), Krutibash Patra (Boudh), Priti Ranjan Ghadai (Sundargarh), Debashish Samantaray (Jagatsinghpur), Pradip Kumar Amat (Puri), Soubhagya Nayak (Nuapada) and Haji Md Ayub Khan (Subarnapur).
