Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited holds 15th Board of Directors meeting

Bhubaneswar: The 15th Board of Directors meeting of Bhubaneswar Smart City Limited (BSCL) was held today in the conference room of Planning and Coordination Department at the Lok Seva Bhawan.
The meeting was chaired by Development Commissioner–cum-Additional Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra, who is also the Chairman of the Board of BSCL.
Among others, the Board discussed the outcome of the Audit Committee report, extension of certain projects and existing interventions for betterment of the city’s socio-cultural fabric and most importantly, installation of eight traffic violation detection systems (TVDS) along busy roads.
The Board also discussed more specific and detailed surveillance system to detect crime as being done in other cities in the country and also finalization of an HR Manual and Procurement Manual for BSCL.
Besides the BSCL Chairman, Principal Secretary Finance Ashok Kumar Meena, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Development Department G Mathivathanan, Twin-City Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi, Special Secretary H&UD Department and Mission Director Smart Cities (Odisha) Prem Kumar Jha, Director and CEO BSCL Prem Chandra Chaudhary, Secretary Electronics and IT Department Manoj Kumar Mishra and Independent Directors of the Board Dr Sarat Kumar Acharya, CA Shiva Prasad Padhi, Professor Padmaja Mishra were present. Senior officials of BSCL were also present during the occasion.
