Bhubaneswar: Bakul Foundation and UNICEF in partnership with the Department of Sports and Youth Services, Govt of Odisha, have been organizing Yuva MiniCons (Youth Mini Conclaves) to create a physical sense of community, where about 70 to 100 leaders and members of different youth volunteer groups get together, get inspired and in turn inspire others. .
In this Yuva MiniCon, there are 4 activities
1. Interaction with Subroto Bagchi, eminent entrepreneur and author, Co-Founder, Mindtree and Chairman, Odisha Skill Development Authority
2. “Youth and Politics”- Sharing of stories of young people, who joined the political process at the grassroots to bring about change.
In which Akash Dasnayak, popular filmstar and young MLA will be in conversation with
a. Arati Devi, an MBA working at IDBI Bank, who became the youngest lady Sarpanch in India at the age of 27
b. Padma Lochan Pradhan, a journalist and ex-Sarpanch at the age of 26
c. Linkan Subudhi, a former IT engineer and volunteer, who contested the last Municipal elections in Bhubaneswar
3. There is also an interactive session on what volunteers can do for the city facilitated by BUKC, the Consultants to the Smart City
4. Music and comedy to inspire and lighten
