Dubai: Age is just one (01) year; but the achievement is way taller! Master Sambhav Swabhiman (Ryan) created a history today by attempting and successfully completing the famed Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon – 2020 as arguably the youngest participant from India. An Odia kid, who is usually fond of running after the parents, has set an example by attempting Dubai Marathon 2020 and earned the finisher’s badge after successful completion.
Ryan is the first and only child of Ms. Lopamudra and Ajay Nanda, who were also participants in Dubai Marathon 2020. While Ajay became a successful finisher in the Full Marathon category (42.2Kms) with a timing of 5 hours and 26 minutes, Ms. Lopamudra completed in another category and earned her finisher’s medal along with Ryan.
With this success, Ryan became the youngest kid from Odisha to officially participate in a Marathon event of international repute. Prior to this, Ryan has also earned the reputation of being the youngest participant in any Marathon event in India, while participating with his father Ajay in SBI Green Marathon, Bhubaneswar during 2019 at an age of just 4 months (on a stroller). Ajay, who is an avid cyclist and a runner, has ambitions to train Ryan as an athlete of international repute.
