Dhamra: Adani Dhamra Cricket league -2019 tournament closing ceremonies have been held in Dhamra Port premises. The final match was played between SIMBA-11 and Field Fighters and Field Fighters won the final match. In this match SIMBA-11 Captain Somyajit Banarjee won the toss and decided to bat first. The total score of SIMBA-11 was 176 in 15 over by losing 5 wickets. On the other hand Filed Fighters had scored 177 in just 10 overs by losing 1 wicket and won the final match. In the closing ceremony Field Fighter Captain Jyotiraj Patnaik had received awards from Chief Operating Officer of Dhamra Port Sudip Dasgupta and Head of HR department Binu Thankachan. Manoj Barik was declared man of the match for his unbeaten 117 run innings.
A unique way of starting the year with Dhamra Port’s own version of competitive cricket tournament named as “ Adani Dhamra Cricket League 2019”. From Manager to supervisor to rigger / contractual worker played in same team irrespective of their designation keeping in mind a step towards dignity at workplace. 16 teams with 224 players participating in the Night tournament. The composition of the unique team is diversified as there was an auction of players for team from each department. The Night Tournament started on 29th Jan 2019 and completed on 21st Feb 2019.
In the inaugural ceremony Chief Operating Officer of Dhamra Port Sudip Dasgupta, Vice President Jagat Parija, HR department Binu Thankachan and the chiefs of every department were present.
