Bhubaneswar: The monthly corporation meeting has decided that 73 units of Keshari Mall shall be auctioned. BMC-Keshari Mall is a PPP project from which BMC is having 9200 square feet floor area as its share. In the four storied building BMC is having 24 units in basement, 16 units in ground floor, 17 units in the 1st floor and 6 units in the 2nd floor.
For the first time BMC has decided to go for online auctioning for giving rent of these floors. The ground floor rent charges for the mall is fixed as 60 rupees per square feet and Rs. 50 for 2nd floor units.
A security deposit amount for five years shall be collected from beneficiaries. The highest bidder for the shops shall be allotted for doing business through online mechanism. BMC hopes to earn around 4 to 5 crore rupees by auctioning these untis, also around 60 lakh rupees revenue yearly from rent source.
The PPP Market Project started in the year 1999 as a joint venture of BMC and Keshari Estates Private limited. The Mall is constructed in the highly demanding market building area with hundred percent central air conditioning system.
