The registration process for the April session of JEE Main 2019 has already started. Till the eighth day of the registration, more than 70,000 applicants registered for the exam. The number is expected to increase rapidly until the last date of filing.
The registration process for the April session of JEE Main 2019 started on 8th February 2019. The April session exam is scheduled to be held from April 6-20, 2019. The JEE Main admit card for April session can be downloaded from 18th March 2019.
According to NTA, 9, 29,918 candidates registered for the January session of JEE Main 2019. The number of candidates in the April session is expected to be more than 11 lakhs due to a large number of reappearing candidates and new candidates. However, NTA has noticed that there are many duplicate applications for the April session. So, NTA has released a notification that all such duplicate applications will be rejected without any prior warning.
In the announcement, NTA has again advised the students not to fill the multiple applications for the exam. Therefore, the candidates must be cautious while filling the application form and should avoid any such discrepancy.
NTA clarified that the candidates who have already registered in the January session could fill the application form directly using their previous registration number and password. New candidates have to fill a fresh application by registering for the April session of JEE Main 2019.
The final All India Rank of the student will be based on candidate’s best scores from both the exam. The results for the January session of JEE Main 2019 had already been declared on 19th January. Now almost all the aspirants will attempt the second session of JEE Main exam to improve their marks. The results for the April session will be released by 30th April 2019 for paper 1 and 15th May 2019 for paper 2.
Counselling for JEE Main 2019 would be conducted jointly for the January and April leg exam. Since the best of the two performance would be considered for ranking evaluation, the final updates about the counselling cum admission process would be made public in May 2019 post declaration of the April leg exam results.
JEE Main is a tough competition among the aspirants; it requires a lot of hard work and dedication. Candidates who have already appeared for the exam must have an idea about the paper pattern, but they should prepare well because April session will be the last attempt to score in the exam and secure their seats in top engineering institutes.
